Water Outages/pressure loss and Discoloration

Author: Clifford White  /  Categories: General News  /

Recently the District has had to make repairs to our water lines.  The way we notify the customer of these repair is here on our website, facebook, and twitter.  If you wish to follow us on twitter you will get the message sent to you.  Due to personnel restrictions the District can not anwser calls at this time.

When the water is shut off in the main lines and then turned back on, any sediment that might be built up on the inside of the lines may release and you will see discoloration. The District will try to flush out what they can, but you may have to flush you own lines to clear it up completely.  Also, any milky color in the water is air.  If you take a glass with the water in it, let it set for a moment, you will see the air disappear.  Again we can only flush to the hydrants.  The air in the water should settle down.
